What it does

This class provides access to configured directory patterns that should be excluded from the Media Gallery.

Developers use this to retrieve a list of regular expression patterns that define which directories or files should not be indexed or displayed in Magento's media gallery functionality.

It's marked as deprecated and will be replaced in future versions.
