Social Media Manager

Overview

M.academy, founded by Mark Shust, is seeking a Social Media Manager to create and manage highly engaging content for our LinkedIn and Twitter (now X) platforms. We specialize in simplifying complex Magento 2 programming topics and have educated over 9,000 students on our course platform.

In this role, you will be taking technical documentation from our course lessons, blog posts, previous social media posts and related Magento & eCommerce news, and repurposing & replatforming this content for social media posts in various engaging formats. No need for direct interaction with the audience, that part is Mark's gig! Your expertise will undoubtedly boost our presence on social platforms. 😎

Role & Duties

As our Social Media Manager, you'll be:

• Creating, scheduling, and managing content for LinkedIn and Twitter.
• Repurposing existing content into engaging social media posts.
• Using platforms such as Publer and Notion for content scheduling and management.
• Collaborating closely with Mark to understand and maintain the tone and brand of M.academy.

Requirements

Ideally, you have proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role. Brilliance in content creation and management on LinkedIn and Twitter is essential. Any experience with content management and scheduling platforms, particularly Publer and Notion, will be seen as a big plus. If you have a basic knowledge of programming, even better, but it's not a deal-breaker. A critical aspect of this role is creative thinking, aligned with strict attention to detail.

Time Commitment

This is a remote, asynchronous position requiring around 10 hours of work per week. We're super cool about time - no hard deadlines, no stringent timelines. You can be located anywhere in the world, as long as you have great communication skills and can fluently communicate in English. M.academy is a ROWE (results-oriented work environment).

Compensation

The compensation for this role is commensurate with your Magento experience. You will be expected to track hours as you work, and be paid weekly.
