Help orchestrate Campus, the premium Magento community.
Over 600 students are enrolled in the University, and every single one of those students has access to Campus. Campus is a premium community for Magento developers.
In Campus, developers ask a lot of questions about Magento development. You can think of it as similar to Magento Stack Exchange, but with much higher quality questions and engagement.
Mark (the head of M.academy) currently answers all questions, but he needs some help so he can focus on creating more Magento courses. So this is where you step in! 🤓
As the Technical Magento Community Guru, you'll be responsible for answering all questions on Campus. You're the guru, and students will be looking for your help with their questions.
You'll also reply to questions on course lessons, and any other question that may come in a student that is technical in nature and related to Magento. You're the guru.
This is a gig-based role, so there will be times that are busy and other times that it's pretty quiet. But you'll need to be around to pop in at least once a day (on your schedule) to get back to student questions. You will also need to be responsive to replies of your replies -- no ghosting here! 👻
But M.academy is super flexible. If you're sick, go to sleep. If you're on vacation, take a break. Just give us a heads up and we'll work with you. There are no set hours for this role, and you can even do this on the side to your main job.
As this is a gig-based contractor role, health benefits are not yet available. But you'll get full, unrestricted access to everything at M.academy, including all courses, lessons, and community access, as well as moderator functionality within the various apps.
This can also lead to a larger role within M.academy later on (if desired). There are many plans and initiatives underway, and we can let you know what those are once you're in.
The compensation for this role is commensurate with your Magento experience, history of answering questions, and location. Due to the randomly busy nature of this role, we're not able to provide an exact number of hours per week, but you can expect to log somewhere around 10 hours a week to start.
Hours are logged in time-tracking software and paid weekly.
Thanks for your interest, but this position has been filled! 😄
Please apply by sending an email to jobs@m.academy. There's no format for what is needed; just remember that this is a job application, so you want to dazzle 😎. LinkedIn profile pages and URLs to your GitHub repos and/or Magento StackExchange profiles are good ideas.
Remember what the job is for, and be sure to call out what makes you special to stand out among other applicants for this position.
